Preparing spring landscaping is important

As the snow melts away and the weather starts to warm up, it's time to start thinking about spring landscaping. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a beginner, there are plenty of ways to spruce up your outdoor space for the season. One of the first steps is to clean up any debris or leaves that have accumulated over the winter months. This will allow your garden to breathe and make it easier to see where you might want to plant new flowers or bushes. Next, consider adding some color to your landscape with spring blooms like daffodils, tulips, or hyacinths. These early-blooming flowers are easy to plant and can provide a burst of color that will last through the spring. Finally, think about any hardscaping projects you might want to undertake, such as building a new patio or walkway. Spring is the perfect time to start these kinds of projects and get your outdoor space ready for the warmer months ahead.

Spring Landscaping Tips

Plant a Tree.
It's one of the best projects you can do for your spring landscape. Plus, once the tree is established, it's about as low maintenance as a landscape can get and the difference it can make to your yard lasts for decades.

Add a Color With Mulch.

For something truly unique, try pine cones. They introduce a knotty texture that breaks up the monotony of flat lawns and box-like shrubs. The point is that mulch is easy: Choose a cool color and texture, then dump it, spread it, and forget it.

Add Edging.

Some unique edging could perk up your yard. No pruning, cutting, or watering required. Low-maintenance ground covers are an excellent choice for edging, Try lily of the valley, vinca, lamb's ears, and pachysandra.
